Work Permits Update:

As of June 2023, guardians/households must apply for a work permit online.  (use a phone or home device)  Any child aged 14 or 15 needs a work permit to begin work in Wisconsin.  The first step is for the child to apply and have a job offer, then you fill out online documents for a work permit.  Cost is $10.20  Once you create a work permit online, the Career Center at West can attempt to help with printing the document if you do not have access to a printer,.  Detailed instructions for how to obtain the work permit can be found at the following site: https://dwd.wisconsin.gov/er/laborstandards/workpermit/

Please note that the Career Center at Green Bay West High School can also assist in obtaining a work permit.  Students should make an appointment with the Career Center in room 117 and have $10.20 in cash or a valid credit/debit card to use in order purchase one with assistance.
