Important Dates
We will be having a Blood Drive on Wednesday, March 6th in the Old Gym. Students 16 years of age or older will be allowed to donate. To make an appointment, scan the QR code in announcements or stop by room 109.

Seniors have the opportunity to design the cover of the graduation program
for the class of 2024. The design could be inspired by the Senior quote: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened,” by Dr. Seuss, or they can create something unique. Seniors should check their email for cover requirements, and see Student Services with any questions.

Seussical the Musical
is coming to the West Auditorium stage on March 8th and 9th at 7 pm, and March 10th at 1 pm!  Tickets will be $8 for adults and $5 for students. West students get in free with their student ID!

Athletics
Track Season starts TODAY! Be ready to warm up in the large gym at 3:15. Make sure your registration is completed before Monday.

West/East Softball begins Monday, March 11th. If you are interested in joining for the season, talk to Coach Guenther in room 234 or email [email protected]. Any athletes wanting to play need to have their registration and physical turned in before March 11th.  You will not be able to practice until those are completed. The first practice will be March 11th, from 4-6p at West.

Clubs/Groups/Meetings
The Chess Club is still meeting every Wednesday after school in the Old Library! Please come and join us to play chess and practice for the upcoming competition over Spring Break. We will be meeting every Wednesday from 3-4pm in the Old Library. Please see Jill in 127 with any questions. 

Vote for Superlatives!
Who is the most athletic? Most likely to be asleep in class? Best bromance?  Check your email for the Google Form to vote on these questions and more for the yearbook. The email was sent on February 7th. See Jill in room 127 with any questions.

College/Career Exploration
The GenCyber program provides cybersecurity experiences and exposure for 9th-11th grade students, as they increase awareness of postsecondary and career opportunities to accomplish new levels of success. The camp runs from July 7th-12th. For more information, visit uww.edu/precollege/programs/gencyber.

Seniors: IMPORTANT MESSAGE If you are planning on college or technical school after graduation, but have not started applying, please reach out to Liz in room 219 or email [email protected] about this.   If you have not completed your FAFSA for school, we can help you in the career center, please stop in or reach out.  The FAFSA helps you with college, it's important!  If you are interested in scholarships, ALL the information is located in the google classroom, please use it and apply. There is a lot out there, but you have to apply!  

Students interested in Biomedical Electronics:  Check out a 4-week long course being offered at NWTC for this degree!  Tuesday nights during March-April.  Sign up link is available by emailing Liz at [email protected], or stop into room 219 to ask for the link.
This is a hands-on, free college introductory course! 

Sophomores, Juniors and Seniors: If you are interested in looking into the Army National Guard, or have an interest in safety and lifesaving jobs for your future.  The Army National Guard will have a mission day here at West on Wednesday, March 13th.  Students participate in simulated life saving missions like search and rescue and disaster relief. 
If you DO NOT have a gym class and wish to attend, please contact Ms. Liz ([email protected]) or stop by room 219 to sign up.  Ms. Liz will assist you in signing up and give you a time slot to attend this event.  This event will be in the small gym and you MUST pre-register online to participate. 
*You only need to contact Ms. Liz if you do not have a gym class in your schedule.
