Earthstock: A Celebration of Music and the Earth

EarthstockFor the second year, the Green Bay West High School Science Club will host an event called Earthstock to celebrate Earth Day and promote environmental education. Earthstock will take place on Saturday, May 19 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Del Marcelle Stadium at West High School. Bands featuring students from Green Bay Area Public Schools will be showcased. Exhibits from Northeast Wisconsin Technical College, UW-Green Bay, and the Green Bay Botanical Garden will be featured. 

Focused on promoting environmental education, the event will also feature a metal recycling collection, a small farmers' market, tours of the West High Greenhouse and garden, and more. Food will be available for purchase, including a booyah sale. A Kids’ Zone will be available for children to play and compete in activities. This year, admission to Earthstock is free. 

Attendees are advised to bring a chair or blanket to sit on while listening to the bands. Proceeds from the event will benefit the school’s science club and the booster club.
