New Principal at West High

West WildcatThe Green Bay Area Public School District is pleased to announce that Michelle Jacobson will be serving as West High School’s new principal starting this school year. Jacobson has extensive global experience which will benefit West as an International Baccalaureate Diploma Program School. With over 19 years of experience in education teaching English and Literature, coordinating International Baccalaureate and Advanced Placement (IB/AP) programs and experience as assistant principal, Jacobson has much to offer West High School. Most recently, Jacobson was the Deputy Directory/Assistant Principal at Taihu International School in China.
“The Green Bay Area Public School District and the West High School community are very fortunate to have Principal Jacobson join our team,” said Executive Director of Secondary Education Tom Hoh. “Ms. Jacobson brings a wealth of experience as a coordinator for IB/AP programs in Wisconsin and in China.”

“It is an honor to be named principal of West High School,” said Michelle Jacobson. I am looking forward to becoming part of the Wildcat community and continue the work of supporting this community in a manner that will empower all students to achieve at their highest levels.”
Jacobson worked at two different International Schools in China. She led the world language department and was able to commence standards and create systems to help support the IB Diploma Program students.
West High School is an International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Program School. IB is recognized around the world as a curriculum of the highest standard. Students in the IB program challenge themselves with a meticulous course of study while learning and developing skills that prepare them to be successful in college and life.
